Final conference of the TOY project – Together Old and Young

TOY logoUnder the title ‘Senior Citizens and Young Children Building Age-Friendly Communities in Europe’, the closing conference of the European project ‘TOY – Together Old and Young’, hosted by ICDI in Leiden, the Netherlands, on 28 October presented the experiences and learning from the two-year project and focused on looking towards sustainability and new opportunities to promote intergenerational contact across Europe. It was also the opportunity for AGE Platform Europe, who was involved in this project, to present its work to promote intergenerational solidarity.

The event also featured the project pilot actions interventions from Professor Elena Luppi on the need for a new mindset for intergenerational learning; and from AGE and Eurochild on the links between European policy and local practice in intergenerational contact. In particular, AGE presented its campaigns and projects to promote a society for all ages.
