The European Commission has published an overview of current research and innovation projects funded as part the European funding programmes (Horizon 2020 and previously Competitiveness and Innovation framework Programme CIP and the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development). Those projects aim to foster independant living in old age and healthy ageing with the use of information and communication technologies (ICT).
AGE Platform Europe is involved in four of those projects – SmartCare, DOREMI, FrailSafe and iPrognosis– in order to voice the perspective of the project target group (end users) and make sure the project outcome will effective meet the older persons’ needs and expectations.
