Questionnaire on the accessibility of products and services in daily life activities

The European Commission has issued the Mandate M/473 ‘Design for All’ with the aim to include accessibility, following a ‘Design for All’ perspective, in mainstream standards. In this context, ‘Accessibility’ is referred to the extent to which products, systems, services, environments or facilities can be used by people from a population with the widest range of characteristics and capabilities to achieve a specified goal in a specified context of use.

As a part of this work an analysis of the main standardization areas/fields which are most urgent to address the needs of people with disabilities and older persons will be carried out. One tool will be the following enquiry on the accessibility of product and services, which aims to identify and prioritize problem areas that could be focused on in relation to accessibility.
