BAGSO reports on internet use and intergeneration in Germany
The German National Association of Senior Citizens’ Organisations (BAGSO) has released two publications in English covering two major topics of interest to older people: digitalisation and intergenerational solidarity.
- The position paper 'Older persons in a digital world' looks at fundamental issues that arise from the increasing digitalisation of the environment and identifies the obstacles to competent, accessible and safe internet use and the measures needed to ensure it.
- Together with the German Federal Youth Council, BAGSO has released a joint Position Paper 'For a society based on solidarity and a living democracy', looking at major issues to be addressed across generations, namely: peace, sustainable development, participation, equality, poverty prevention, digitalisation, multi-culture, volunteering, solidarity.
