Artificial Intelligence: BAGSO stresses need to protect older people’s fundamental rights

As the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is spreading in all areas of life, the German National Association of Senior Citizens’ Organisations, BAGSO, calls for a better consideration and protection of the fundamental rights and interests of older persons in the development and use of this technology in EU countries.

According to BAGSO, AI applications need to be monitored to avoid ageist or stereotypical content about old age. The protection of the interests and rights of older persons in the use of AI should also be enshrined in law.
