Conference Towards an active ageing at home

On the occasion of the Conference Towards an active ageing at home held in Barcelona, the 24-25th October 2012, a final declaration, the ACTIVE AGEING AT HOME (AA@H) BARCELONA DECLARATION was presented and discussed. The declaration was written by the organizing team, the ACCEPLAN group from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (www.acceplan.es). and wishes to be one of the landmarks of the 2012 European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations for its specific contents and proposals regarding environments and services for ageing in place.

The draft of the declaration was approved on October 25th 2012, after being voted affirmatively by 59 participants of the Conference, with no negative votes and 3 abstentions. The participants had the opportunity to propose amendments to the articles of the declaration, by means of a form handed out to all of them, as well as discuss its contents in the conference. As a result, a new version of the draft (2.0) was produced, which is now presented, and which is available for further considerations on its improvement.
