COVID-19: the EU agrees on common vaccine strategy

The COVID-19 pandemic is inflicting huge human and economic costs on the European Union and the world. For the EU institutions, a permanent solution to this crisis would be the development of a vaccine against the virus that would be effective, widely available and affordable.

To that end, the European Commission has presented its European Vaccine Strategy with the objective of setting up a joint approach at EU level. It will also aimed to pool resources with international partners for maximizing access to future vaccines across the world.
