ERASMUS+ Impulses for voluntary work through a mobility project for adult education at the Department of the German–Speaking Community for Self–Determined Life in Eupen (Belgium)
The desire to remain active, to make a difference, to receive inspiration from others and to share experiences of success are important motives for Antonia Schwarz’s civic and voluntary commitment. She stands up for DIE GRÜNEN ALTEN, but also as an elected representative of senior citizens in Berlin-Steglitz-Zehlendorf for the interests of senior citizens. Her participation in an ERASMUS+ mobility project in 2019, organised by BAGSO– Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Seniorenorganisationen, provided her with valuable ideas for her commitment. In her article, she describes the impulses she was able to gain for her work at the Department of the German–Speaking Community for Self–Determined Life in Eupen and in what ways she still benefits today, for example by participating in the program process for the development of the Berlin election program. There she is currently working on the topics of demography and care in the long and medium term.
