European Commission consults on EU pillar of social rights

EU consultation iconAs of 8 March the European Commission has opened a public consultation to define the main guidelines of the European pillar of social rights, which seeks to introduce a reference framework for assessing member states’ performances in the fields of employment and social inclusion and encourage convergence between EU countries. The different interested parties have until the end of the year (31 December 2016) to make their comments. The results of this consultation will help the Commission present a consolidated version of the European pillar of social rights in spring 2017.
