European social charter and ageism – Council of Europe report

The purpose of this study is to explain the critical role of the European Social Charter in advancing and protecting the rights of older persons in Europe. It is designed to be of use to civil society groups of older persons to enable them to engage effectively with the Charter and to use its jurisprudence in the development of domestic advocacy strategies for reform. It should also provide guidance to policy makers on advancing the rights of older persons.
