The Open-Ended Working Group on Ageing (OEWG) aims to discuss concrete ways to strengthen the protection of our human rights as we age. It meets every year at the UN headquarters in New York.
This year the OEWG will cover the following areas:
- New themes
- older people’s contributions to sustainable development
- older people and economic security
- Normative elements (content for a possible new UN convention):
- access to work
- access to justice
