A walk that unites generations

On the occasion of April 29th, European Day of Solidarity between the generations, AGE Greek member, ANTAMA, is organizing an intergenerational walk in the National Garden and the garden of the Presidential Mansion of Athens, Greece, on Sunday, 28 April at 11:00 am.

The walk is organised with the support of the European #BEACTIVE programme developed by the Ministry of Education, Religion, and Sports through the #BeActiveHellas activities. It will start from the National Garden and will end at the garden of the Presidential Mansion.

This “walk that unites generations” seeks to highlight the need for fostering harmonious coexistence and interaction among people of different generations as the most essential response to combat ageism and loneliness. ANTAMA also stresses the significant role that each generation plays in shaping a strong, resilient society.

During this symbolic walk, a storyteller will share with the audience fairy tale narrations from the oral tradition.

The event is also supported by the Scientific Association of Adult Education, Drosostalida Social Enterpise and monopoli.gr.
