AGE, ANEC and EDF ‘eCoffee’ on the European Accessibility ACT – PART II – The Sequel

Accessibility for All - pictures

The report on the European Accessibility Act adopted in April by the European Parliament’s Internal Market & Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO), is now scheduled to be discussed in Plenary on 13 September.
We need to continue to ACT in ensuring that the EU legislation fulfils its potential to truly improve people’s everyday lives while increasing business competitiveness and innovation in Europe. At present, the IMCO report falls short in protecting the interests of millions of EU consumers, including 80 million Europeans with disabilities and more than 190 million older people.
Following the success of our first ‘eCoffee’, we, the organisations representing persons with disabilities (EDF), older persons (AGE) and consumers (ANEC), invite you to this second chance to learn more on the European Accessibility Act , its implications, and how we can achieve a more accessible Europe.

You can also watch here a video by EDF which explains the importance of the European Accessibility Act for people – including older people – with impairment and why the vote of the European Parliament in the plenary of 13 September is key.
