In March 2020, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia approved a collaboration agreement with AGE Platform Europe to set up a group of European academic experts to help designing a long-term care model that allows sustainable and quality care.
The group, made of six experts, prepared a report under the leadership of Professor Sarah Harper. On 8 September, we will have the pleasure to release and discuss the content of this report with a European wide audience.
The event will take place at the European Economic and Social Committee (Room JDE 63), rue Belliard 99, 1040 Brussels.
The release of this report is particularly timely as we expect the European Commission to deliver its European Care Strategy in early September and the Council to adopt recommendations on long-term care by December 2022.
