While economic and environmental considerations are paramount, it’s equally crucial to address the social dimensions of sustainability, particularly in the context of an ageing population.
This conference is organised by ELO, the European Landowners’ organisation, as part the EU-funded FarmElder project, which aims to merge agricultural activities with care services for older people, fostering intergenerational connections and revitalizing rural communities.
Focusing on the social pillar of farm sustainability, integrating social farming with older people’s care in rural areas exemplifies a holistic approach to community well-being.
