The European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award aims to recognize efforts of local authorities (towns, cities, or regions) in the EU to build fairer societies by promoting diversity and inclusion in terms of gender, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age and LGBTIQ identity.
The ceremony will announce and present the Award winners among the over 65 cities, towns and regions that competed this year. A special award will be given to local authorities enabling safe towns, cities and regions for women in all their diversity, by addressing violence against women.
AGE was part of the jury.
This event will also mark the opening of European Diversity Month 2024.
This year’s European Diversity month focuses on how we can embrace diversity and inclusion in the workplace to help meet the challenges organisations are facing and meet the demands of the future of work. Participants will gain insights from experts on panel discussions and have their say in debates.
