The 1st October will mark the United Nations’ International Day of Older Persons. The theme of this year is Ageing with Dignity: The Importance of Strengthening Care and Support Systems for Older Persons Worldwide.
Commemoration events are organised in New-York, Geneva and Vienna.
AGE Platform Europe will mark the day on social media stressing our call for the adoption of an EU Age Equality strategy to combat ageism and ensure equal rights in all ages.
