Eurodiaconia, together with MEP Tomáš Zdechovský (EPP), invites policymakers, care providers and key stakeholders, to discuss challenges and recommendations associated with the investment and the provision of social services in Europe. The European Pillar of Social Rights calls for affordable, high-quality long-term care service and the inclusion of people with disabilities. This call faces major challenges: How can the new European Commission and European Parliament deliver on the EU Pillar and pave a way forward when by 2080 those aged 65+ will account for almost a third of the population and those aged 80+ will double (Eurostat).
