Mentoring Across Borders – Training Day to become a mentoring hub

MAB_Training_Day-Sept2023

AGE is a partner in the EU-funded project ‘Mentoring Across Borders’, which developed intergenerational, cross-border mentoring programme. As part of this project, we invite organisations who would like to become mentoring hubs to join our online Training Day online.

A mentoring hub is an organisation that will train older people to become mentors and match them with younger mentees through an online platform. Your organisation does not have to be involved in mentoring activities yet but should have an interest in developing mentoring capabilities.

The goal of the MAB Training Day is to prepare interested organisations to assume the role of mentoring hub and participate in the project pilot activities. Characteristics, roles, and responsibilities of Mentoring Hubs will be presented, together with an introduction to the MAB Platform and the materials that mentoring hubs may use to train mentors.

A second Training Day will be held in December for organisations that cannot participate on the first date in September.

About the project

Mentoring Across Borders (MAB) aims to support the educational, professional and personal development of people by developing an intergenerational, cross-border mentoring programme. This programme involves older, experienced people (mentors, 50+) and younger mentees (18-30-year-olds) at risk of marginalization.
