Participation & civil dialogue after the European elections – public debate

Given the many challenges facing democracy, it is crucial to ensure that civil society plays its pivotal role in the future of the European Union.

The European Economic and Social Committee’s Associational Life Category will discuss this question as part of a public debate on Participation and civil dialogue after the European elections, with participation of Héléne Fritzon, MEP and vice-chair of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D Group) in the European Parliament.

This public debate will build on the proposals for an open, transparent and regular dialogue with civil society organisations advocated for by the Civil Society Organisations’ Group and Civil Society Europe.
