Report launch: Generation Vax – Leveraging intergenerational relations to increase vaccination uptake

ILC-UK-logo The International Longevity Centre-UK (ILC) invites you to the virtual launch of Generation Vax, a major new piece of novel research where they have tested the potential of using social media to engage different generations with vaccination.

ILC will be joined at this event by an expert panel of speakers, including:

As part of their Generation Vax project, ILC been working with advertising and social change agencies as well as older people’s organisations to reach out to 11 million people in deprived communities through a targeted social media advertising campaign.

  • Can Facebook help us increase the uptake of flu and pneumococcal vaccinations?
  • Can we engage younger people via social media to encourage their older friends and family to get their jab?

This project has been supported by a grant from the Vaccine Confidence Fund as part of a $7 million investment from Facebook and Merck, aimed at boosting vaccination confidence through social media.
