The conference, organized jointly by COFACE Families Europe and its member Arbeitsgemeinschaft der deutschen familien organisationen (AGF), will focus on families as new consumers and new workers, but ultimately assess to what extent these trends are creating new families (social impact). Around 100 key stakeholders from NGOs, government, industry, and research will get together to discuss this topic, aiming to stimulate debate, put some practical examples out there, and take a peek at what the future will bring.
Through a series of workshops and networking sessions, COFACE will
- explore the challenges and opportunities raised by digitalisation through a variety of portfolios: work-life balance and telework, access to services, employment, data protection, and online safety for children,
- better understand the impact of digitalisation on families,
- identify the relevant EU policy areas of competence and formulate “family-friendly” policies to harness the opportunities of digitalisation while minimising the risks.
The conference will be as interactive as possible allowing participants to contribute with their expertise.
