AGE ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2024
Register to attend online!
Across the EU, age discrimination remains one of the most pervasive forms of unequal treatment. Despite its harmful consequences and the growing share of the population it affects, age discrimination is the most socially accepted and the least legally protected ground of discrimination.
The European elections in 2024 will be an important momentum for the EU to reiterate its commitment to creating equal societies where everyone can flourish. As the EU renews its institutional architecture to put equality into practice, it needs to step up action to ensure equal treatment in old age.
Taking stock of recent relevant work at EU level and of AGE’s call for an Age Equality Strategy, AGE annual conference will aim to build lasting support for EU’s age equality agenda and to help pave the way for the work programme of the new legislature. It will bring together key actors in the field of age equality, including EU and UN officials, representatives from EU equality bodies and networks, civil society organisations and key experts and partners.
The conference is public but participation is limited and upon registration. If you are interested to attend, please reach out to nena.georgantzi@age-platform.eu.
As the event will be web streamed, you will also be able to follow the event online upon registration (see the link below).
