Human Rights International Day: AGE launches updated self advocacy handbook

AGE seized the occasion of the International Day of Human Rights on 10 December to launch the updated version of its online ‘Older People’s Self-Advocacy Handbook’ (you can read here our press release).

The objective of AGE handbook is to explain how human rights work in practice and provide older people with the necessary tools to defend their rights. It does so by translating the international human rights framework in an accessible language and using concrete examples about older people’s lives.

After publishing last year the first two parts on general concepts and the United Nations framework, we have now included the third chapter on the main processes of the Council of Europe. The fourth chapter will be added in 2017.

We hope you will find this document useful.
