The INNOVAGE project has been selected to present its work on user involvement at the 15th International Conference on Integrated Care 2015. The event will be held in Edinburg on 25-27 March 2015 and will aim to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and new ideas in the design and delivery of integrated health and social care.
In particular, the conference will focus on the following four issues:
-
- Engagement and co-production with individuals, carers, families, communities, care workers and decision makers.
- Tackling multimorbidities, health inequalities and complexity with Integrated Care.
- Transforming care systems: evaluation and continuous improvement
- Digital health and innovations
In October 2014, INNOVAGE participated in the call for abstracts organised in the framework of the conference. The abstract has been recently accepted for an oral presentation at the conference. It will also be published in the International Journal for Integrated Care.
The conference will be a good opportunity for INNOVAGE to share good practice, projects, development of policy and research and theory in the field of social innovation. Through its presentation, INNOVAGE will highlight how social innovations in the field of integrated care and healthy ageing need user involvement and co-production in order to successfully develop viable solutions. It will also present one particular method – research circles – tested in four EU countries and which can be used by researchers to co-produce innovative integrated health and social care solutions.
