On the occasion of the International Day of Older People, we join forces with the International Disability Alliance (IDA) to call for digital equity for older persons with disabilities.
In an op-ed we remind how the acceleration of digitalization during the Covid-19 pandemic has aggravated the digital divide, leaving those without access to digital technology further behind. The lack of accessibility of digital technology coupled with explicit ageism in policies are major barriers hindering digital equity for older persons with disabilities.
