The Slovenian capital, Ljubljana, was awarded the European Mobility Week Award for 2013 at a ceremony in Brussels on 24 March 2014. This Award aims to reward the local authority that is considered to have done the most striking effort in raising awareness and promoting sustainable urban mobility. Ljubljana has been selected by a panel of transport experts out of 10 local authorities shortlisted for their outstanding performance in that field.
