New COVID-19 resilience project in the Western Balkans

Red_Cross_Serbia-logo-round Our new member organisation, the Red Cross of Serbia, is coordinating a three-year project on “Strengthening resilience of older persons and persons with disabilities during COVID-19 and future disasters” in the region of the Western Balkans.

The project involves experts from the region who will work together for the empowerment of older persons and persons with disabilities at national level. The objective is to enable older persons, persons with disabilities, civil society organistions and grassroots organisations to cope with the COVID-19 situation in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo .

Started in late 2020, the project is supported by 17 organisations, which include the European Commission, AGE Platform Europe and the European Disability Forum. As part of the project consortium, AGE’s main tasks will be to provide training and advisory support.
