The Investment Plan for Europe finances care homes for older persons in Spain

VitaliaHome-imageThe European Investment Bank (EIB) is helping to improve care to older persons in Spain by means of an agreement to finance the construction of 19 new retirement homes. The EIB is providing €57.5 million to Vitalia Home to build 19 new residential homes. The homes will provide 3,200 places for residents, and they will place particular emphasis on including welcoming outdoor spaces. The new buildings will also be highly energy-efficient. The EIB financing is guaranteed by the Investment Plan's European Fund for Strategic Investments.

As of November 2019, the Investment Plan had mobilised €450.6 billion of investment across the EU, and supported more than one million start-ups and small and medium businesses.
