Momentum project publishes 18 success factors for deployment of telemedicine services into routine care

On 14 May, the Momentum Project, a thematic network gathering telemedicine experts and stakeholders from more than 20 organisations in Europe, published a list of 18 factors that are critical to the deployment of telemedicine services into routine care. These factors, covering a wide range of aspects such as financing, management, legal and security issues and technology considerations, are now submitted to a public consultation. Momentum invites all interested parties to comment and submit their successful practices.

Telemedicine refers to the use of telecommunication and information technologies in order to provide clinical health care at a distance. Its development can ensure access to safe, quality and efficient healthcare services anywhere (including in remote rural areas) and at any time patient need it, also in critical care and emergency situations.

Comment on the 18 proposed factors can be submitted via Momentum’s social networks (LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook), by email to the consortium (info@telemedicine-momentum.eu)This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.“>.
