Voluntary European Tourism Quality Principles to boost tourism in Europe

On 20 February, the European Commission proposed a number of principles to improve the quality of tourism within the European Union, which covers four areas: staff training, consumer satisfaction, cleanliness and maintenance; and reliability and availability of information. Those principles are aimed to both boost tourism business and assist tourists in facilitating and making more coherent the quality evaluation of tourism services in Europe.
