Seeing project promotes local social economy

AGE participated in the final conference of the SEEING project, a European pilot project supported financially by funds from DG Employment and Social affairs. The SEEING project works to create new and innovative tools to support local authorities willing to work more strategically with social economy enterprises as a tool to create social, inclusion, innovation and economic growth. It developed, tested and promoted tools and methods within three main areas:

  • How to develop regional and local strategies for social economy enterprises which will promote social innovation and economic growth.
  • How to provide relevant business support, learning and development activities for social economy enterprises and social entrepreneurs.
  • How to create local micro-finance and venture capital specifically focused on social economy enterprises.
