‘Senior volunteering – Involving and activating seniors in local community’ – Guidelines for professionals

Senior Volunteering publication 2016 cover The aim of the publication is to guide the professional in organizing, managing and promoting senior volunteering. The wide spectrum of topics is covered: from seeing senior volunteering as an opportunity to create new activities for seniors to cooperation with NGOs for better impact. The main target group of the guidelines are health care and social professionals working with seniors.

The document is the outcome of a survey conducted in Estonia, Latvia and Finland in autumn 2015 as part of the ‘Let us be active’ project aimed to promote social inclusion through volunteering.

The publication is available in English, Estonian, Latvian and Finnish.
