The Peer Review ‘The Active Ageing Index and its extension to the regional level’, which took place in Cracow (Poland) in October 2014, focused on the relevance of the Active Ageing Index in terms of policy making.
It gathered participants from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Malta, Romania, Slovenia and Spain, together with stakeholder representatives from AGE Platform Europe and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), and observers from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and representatives from the European Commission’s DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
The Active Ageing Index (AAI) is a tool to assess and monitor active ageing outcomes at national level with the objective of promoting an active role for older people.
