Thematic Seminar on age-friendly labour markets and social protection systems

First thematic seminar co-organised by AGE and Committee of the Regions, 15 March 2012, Brussles

‘How to ensure age-friendly labour markets and social protection systems’

To mark the European Year 2012 for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations, AGE co-organised with the Committee of the Regions a thematic seminar on age-friendly labour-markets and social protection systems on 15 March 2012. This seminar was the first in a series of three that AGE will hold as part of its activities during the EY 2012.

Its aim was to raise a series of key questions in relation to older people’s participation in employment and social protection reforms and to develop recommendations on these both topics. The seminar brought together key policy stakeholders from national and EU levels, AGE employment and social protection experts, its Council members and a wider audience of participants.
