The EU-funded projet ‘We Love Eating’, coordinated by P.A.U. Education, seeks to promote healthy eating and lifestyles while fostering intergenerational exchanges. The philosophy behind that project goes beyond the issue of food quality to encomprass wider social aspects such as shopping, cooking and eating together. The aim is to identify good practices that can be used to replicate the project in other European cities or regions and to improve future policy action in this area. Although aimed at the general public, the project is targeted to children, pregnant women and older people who are in key life stages where good nutrition is particularly important.
We Love Eating encourages conscious eating and focusing on the pleasure food brings through tools such as games, recipes, leaflets, posters and the https://www.we-love-eating.eu website. It also promotes more physical activity in daily life, offering realistic ways to adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle.
The initiative is currently in its pilot phase until end 2015. Throughout the pilot phase, the project will be monitored and evaluated by external experts in order to identify lessons learnt and good practices that can be used to replicate the project in other European cities or regions and to improve future policy action in this area.
