Working conditions and workers’ health – Eurofound

WorkingCoditions&Health-EurofoundReport2019-cover This report analyzes the impact of working conditions on worker’s health and the interaction between work demands – which carry an increased risk of exhaustion – and work resources – which support workers in greater engagement and well-being. The findings indicate that physical risks have not increased but remain important, while emotional demands have increased, underlining the growing importance of psychosocial risks at work.
For workers to remain longer in the labour force, work must be made sustainable by reducing health-impairing conditions and fostering health-promoting ones.
